Timeless Horse

"Timeless Horse" is a tribute to the strength, grace, and freedom of the Arabian horse.

I imagined a horse running without pause, beyond day and night, beyond human time: running across desert expanses, endless grasslands, and lands too vast for the eye to contain. It is an image of pure energy, movement, and the desire to go beyond visible boundaries.

The work is composed of several glazed ceramic tiles.

The two central tiles, positioned vertically, form the heart of the piece:
* the upper tile, dedicated to the spiritual realm, evokes an infinite space where dream and reality meet;
* the lower tile, representing the earthly world, depicts the horse facing its journey with courage and determination.

The symbol of the sun and moon united—a single orange sphere encompassing both—represents the continuity of time: an unbroken cycle accompanying the horse’s run, without distinction between beginning and end.

The lower tile presents the horse in its physical dimension: the lines beneath its belly and along its flanks speak of hardships endured, of the furrows left by life, and of the resilience that keeps it moving forward. It is a body that runs because living also means crossing obstacles.

Surrounding the two central tiles, a frame composed of five additional tiles alternates between low and high reliefs inspired by the elegance and mystery of Arab culture: a fluid, harmonious decorative language that embraces the entire composition.

The whole is mounted on an oxidized iron base, adding material presence and a sense of grounding, as though time itself had left its mark upon the structure.
"Timeless Horse" is a journey: a run toward infinity, a dialogue between strength and delicacy, between earth and sky, between dream and reality.

— Curatorial note

The run of a horse that knows no boundaries.
Beyond day and night, beyond earth and sky.
A freedom that moves through time, space, and desire.
Some forces never come to a halt: they continue to run within us.
